The Woodcock, built on an Enzo D2 Tool steel blade of sturdy proportions, the shape of the blade leds itself readily to all the tasks involved in skinning, the pronounced belly of the blade being ideal for the purpose. It is of course equally at home in the field, the point is extemely sharp & very useable.

The scales are in Royal Jacaranda Dymondwood (Trademark), mated with solid brass bolsters, lanyard tube & hand turned brass rivets.

The use of Dymondwood & 2 ton epoxy cement effectively seals the knife & makes it sterilisable which of course is a legal requirement for knives used in the preparation of meat which will enter the human food chain.

This is a sturdy Knife with a blade thickness of 4 mm, a blade length of 90mm (3.6 inches) & an overall length of 195mm (7.6 inches)

This custom grade knife is made from a 200 layer American damascus steel 1095 High Carbon & 15n20 High Carbon 2% Nickel steels it is forge welded in to 200 layers ground, etched & hardened to Rockwell C 59-61.

The blade is razor sharp & will hold it's edge well.

The handle is made from dyed & stabilised bur Alder root which is extremely durable & attractive.

The bolsters are solid brass & cut totally by hand whilst attached to the blade, the handle material is The Knives comes witha high quality hand made leather sheath, a signed certificate of authenticity & a smart presentation box.

This beatiful knife has been constructed from an American 200 layer Damascus blade, made from 1095 High Carbon Steel & 15n20 High Carbon 2% Nickel steel, it has been forged, etched & hardened to Rockwell C 59-61.

These blades are of outstanding quality & will hold their edge extremely well, this particular type of Damascus is called Firestorm & is quite defined through heavy etching.

The handle is made from dyed & stabilised Maple , fitted with mosaic pins & solid brass bolsters, the bolsters are cut entirely by hand when affixed to the blade & carefully matched to the timber, they compliment the blade & provide a quite anatomical grip for the knife.

The knife comes with a high quality hand made leather sheath, with a signed certificate of authenticity & a smart presentation box.

Another gorgeous knife constructed around an European 235 layer damascus steel blade, the steel has been forged, etched & hardened to 59-61 Rockwell C to make this outstanding blade. The handle is made from stabilized burr Alder root dyed purple & gold, with Mosaic pins, lanyard tube & solid brass bolsters, the bolsters are cut entirely by hand when affixed to the blade from solid blocks of brass, then meticuosly polished & matched in shape to the wood work.

An American 200 layer damascus blade, constructed from 1095 High Carbon steel, 15n20 High Carbon 2% Nckel steel, forged into 200 layers hardened to Rockwell C 59-61 & etched to reveal the rare & unusual damascus pattern. The guy's who make this had only 5 blades of this type for sale so I bought them all, they certainly have a striking & very special appearance.

They take an exceptional edge & hold it exceptionally well, making these knives a pleasure to own & use.

This blade has been mated to solid brass bolsters hand cut in situ, stabilised burr Thuya wood, this is dug from the desert & has been dead for over a 100 years, despite processing the wood still carries a slight aroma, (not at all unpleasant) which does not detract from the beauty of the timber. Completed with Mosaic pins this makes a fine knife that will be a pleasure to own.
